EDP Resources was founded by Eileen Padro who started the business out of her home in 1988, as a CAD drafting service. It began as “EDP CAD Services” and supported area architects and engineers by implementing projects using CAD software, such as, Autocad, Arris, and Drawbase. Eventually, the business was meeting the demands of its customers by placing temporary CAD drafters into many architectural and engineering firms and recruiting professionals for permanent placement.
In 1996, the company transition into a professional employment agency that specializes in recruitment and staffing of architects, engineers, designers and CAD support. Today, EDP Resources has enjoyed another growing area: healthcare information technology or “electronic medical record” specialist.
Working with EMR specialist and CAD Drafters are similar in many ways; both require expertise in their particular software platform and both can either make or break a project within the organization.
